Harper Chuch has been a fixture in our community for nearly 100 years.  Here is a quick look at how we have changed over the years...

Harper Evangelical Free Church is our official name, but most people just call us Harper Church!  We are part of a denomination called, The Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).

Harper Church was founded by Swedish and Norwegian immigrants in 1913 and was called, "Scandinavian Evangelical Free Church."  The first church building was erected in 1919 (see photo above).  Worship services were done in Swedish until 1933 when the switch was made to all-English services.

In 1962, a new church sanctuary was erected with an opaque fiberglass spire that was lit at night and could be seen all the way to Seattle.

In 1985, the new ministry center was opened, and the former church became the youth building.
