Romans 15:13-32   "Living the Life of a Missionary"

 

1.  When you think of the word 'missionary', what thoughts pop into your mind?  Is the image positive, exciting and attractive or is it intimidating, negative and boring?

2.  What motivated Paul to want to live the life of a missionary?  What was Paul's goal in doing missions?  What did he want to produce?  How could  he tell if he (by the grace of God) was producing this?

3.  What is the difference between doing missionary work in you own strength (although sincere) and doing it in the power of the Holy Spirit?  Explain.

4.  How do you plan your life and career around reaching people for Jesus Christ?  How is that different than just planning your life around being a good Christian person?

5.  How are personal financial goals effected when you live the life of a missionary?

6.  Why does Paul end by talking about prayer?  How does that "fit" into the life of a missionary?
